Postdoc position in Polymer Science is available

A postdoctoral position in the field of polymer chemistry is open. The project aims at synthesis of biodegradable polymers with tailored rheological and mechanical properties as well as their application for fabrication of fibrous scaffolds for tissue engineering.

The successful candidate must have a PhD degree in Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Material Science or related fields. Previous experience with synthesis of biodegradable polymers using condensation polymerization, their analytical investigation (XRD, DMA, DSC, GPC) as well as in electrospinning is highly desired. A strong motivation for science and proficient written and oral communication skills in English are crucial for the successful completion of this challenging project.

The candidate is expected to be willing to apply for self-funding (DFG own position, Humboldt fellowship, Marie Curie Fellowship or similar)

Salary is according to TVL E13 tariff agreement

Total duration is ca 1 year.
